Such a nice person working today, helping out with a lot of info that I was searching for regarding all things birds, and specifically regarding here in the Portland community. They seem to be highly community oriented and have connections to bird rehabilitation! She made our experience awesome!

I lived just a couple of blocks from this location on Fremont. They have everything anyone would want, including lots of gift items and gift cards. The staff is knowledgeable, and if you go in with a question they don't have an immediate answer for, they go right to research. I've often gone in with stories, and they always take the time to listen. I've moved out of the immediate area, but take the time to go and purchase my bird needs at this shop.

This is such a delightful shop! You can tell the people here genuinely care about wildlife and the community. One of their wonderful employees, Fern, spent about 10 minutes with me explaining how to safely help a sick and injured squirrel in my backyard. It’s rare to find a place where the staff is not only knowledgeable but truly compassionate. It is such a welcome little escape into the land of all things nice in Backyard Bird Shop. I’m grateful to have a place like this nearby!

Me and my brother came here today and it was so cute!! The place was filled with interesting little items like plushies, puppets, wind chimes etc. The employees were super sweet and nice! I got a little red dragon and my brother got a bat! Definitely 5 stars :)
